Meet Your Therapist

My career as a psychotherapist began when I was in Grade 5, when friends would book time with me to walk around the yard. Well, it didn't actually start then, but it always felt natural for me to listen and understand the real side of people. My mother, a psychiatrist, ran a beautiful, cozy, family clinic in Hintonburg, Ottawa. She was an unconventional doctor for her time, believing in love, compassion, and meditation over pills. Our clinic was my second home and a safe haven for many. I helped run the office until I was old enough to work alongside her—first teaching music on the first floor and eventually starting my own practice as a therapist. Although my mother is now living with early dementia, I take pride in continuing the legacy of this important work.
